Basic Info

Name: Osen Zen
Age: 17
Race: Nymph
Look's: Compared to most people Osen isn’t that tall, being only five-foot-three in height, she has a curvy frame but her body still maintains an athletic physique. Osen’s complexion is of a healthy shade and long straight hair falls to her waist and is often unbound, a shade of brown so dark that it is only a few shades away from being black. Her facial structure is slender and strong but still highly feminine, her lips dark and appealing whilst her eyes are framed with long lashes, a shade of chocolate brown. Highly visible from the center of Osen’s forehead is a tattoo, marking her as a member of the royal “Zen” family, and is in the shape of a ram’s head, crimson red in colour.
Osen often dresses in highly revealing clothing, bringing emphasis to her beautiful body. Her favourite outfit to wear is a uniquely designed dress that reaches mid-thigh but with sides that stretch up to her waist, revealing her thighs, it has very little sleeve and a collar that reached to her cheeks but also possesses a low neckline that exposes her cleavage. The dress is in a shade of brown that almost looks red, Bronze decorating its hem and collar-lines whilst small flowers decorate the fabric of Osen’s dress. A strange belt hangs from Osen’s waist and is designed so that Osen can attach helpful items to it, she usually just uses this belt however to hold her throwing knives and to secure her polearm in position behind her back.
Decorating Osen’s right upper arm is a silver bracer with images of rams etched into its design, stating that she is a member of the “Zen” house, just like her tattoo. Osen rarely wears shoes or any other protective footwear but if she feels that she must, she will adorn simple thin dark leather sandals upon her feet.
Osen is rarely ever seen without her winged-wolf companions, Kin, at her side.

Personality

Personality: Osen isn’t one to hold her tongue at the best of times and isn’t easily intimidated. Proud and headstrong, Osen enjoys challenging others in contests of strength and bravery and due to her obsession to be “unbeatable” Osen rarely ever loses to anyone in those challenges. Thus, she has an almost unhealthy amount of confidence and has made it her goal to prove that any female can be just as strong as a man, if not stronger. Osen has a weakness for powerful men and if she believes that she is in love then that’s the end of discussion – she will have that man. But despite her flaws Osen is a very loyal person especially those who she considers to be her friends, she cares a lot for the Light Nation and will always keep her word.
Like's: Osen likes proving her strength and that she is stronger than those around her, she likes taking part in hunts, she likes getting her way in life and she likes the taste of meat and wine.
Dislike's: Osen dislikes being defeated or bested by others, she dislikes it when people call her “short” or assume her to be weak due to her fragile-seeming appearance, she dislikes being ordered around, she dislikes being bored and she dislikes “weak” or “helpless” people.

Nation: The Light Nation
Town: The Light Nation Castle

History & Biography

History: The Zen Family of the Light Nation had always been the ruling clan over the Light Nation for centuries, it was a family that enjoyed combat and war but was also wise enough to understand the fragility of their country and that peace was greatly important as was as the well-being of their people. The Zen family consisted of nymphs and the occasional human; they had also decided centuries ago that only a male member of their clan could rule their kingdom, as women were considered to be far too fragile and kind to handle the pressures of ruling a kingdom. This was why such an uproar was caused when the wife of the current Zen King was found to no longer be able to provide the kingdom with any more children after having such a difficult time with her first and only child – Osen Zen.
After all, it had been decided long ago that no female could rule the Light Nation and now that a male heir was out of the question, the people began to wonder if another family would be given the role as rulers or if the young princess would be married off to a distant member of the Zen family who would then rule in her place.
The Zen King was unsure of what decision he would be forced to make.

Osen was not treated unkindly though. She developed with every benefit that was given to a princess but did not act like the average princess, as she was aware of what sort of strain her birth had placed upon her family and the Nation. Confused as to why her family was so against a woman being given the role as ruler, Osen decided that she would go against their belief of how a woman acted. She would make sure that they knew that she was neither weak nor too compassionate and that way, Osen hoped, her father’s turmoil would end.
So throughout her life Osen was the ideal tomboy, refusing to take part in activities reserved for women and instead forcing others to allow her to participate in masculine activities such as hunting and sparing. There was some concern over this due to Osen’s lack of size and physical strength but she soon put all concerns for her to rest as she excelled at whatever activity she placed herself in. By the time Osen was thirteen she was considered to be one of the Light Nation’s most skilful hunters and one of its greatest warriors.

Upon her fourteenth year of life, Osen approached her father and beseeched him to allow her to rule the Light Nation after his death as was her birth right, she told her father that she could see no reason for him to refuse her as Osen had proven that she was as strong as any male of their country. If her father only expressed his desire for Osen to rule then the matter would end and no-one could object to his decision.
However, Osen’s father offered her a deal:
If Osen could travel to the far south of their nation, remain there for several days and eight nights and then return with a symbol of her strength then he would permit for her to rule the nation.
Accepting her father’s challenge, Osen left and travelled to the far south in solitude and nobody heard so much as a whisper about her for several days and nights until Osen returned and stood before her father. At her side, much to everyone’s wonderment, stood a winged-wolf, seemingly content to remain in Osen’s presence.
It was well-known knowledge that winged-wolves were rare and existed within the mountains and forests of the southern territory of the Light Nation, they were solitary creatures that bore a strong dislike for strangers and taste for meat. In the history of the Light Nation very few had survived an encounter with a winged-wolf and none had managed to befriend or domesticate one until now.
To everyone it seemed that Osen had secured her right as the future ruler of the Light Nation.

When Osen was sixteen both of her parents fell gravely ill and died. Before his death, the Zen King announced that Osen would rule the Light Nation, but there was a catch to his words:
Osen would rule the Light Nation until she married, in which case all her power, title and everything that was hers would belong to her husband, who would then resume the role as “King”.
Upset and furious that her father would decide such a thing, Osen found a flaw to his wish and immediately exposed that flaw, knowing that it would benefit her.
Yes, Osen would renounce her title as “Queen” upon marriage but she would only marry someone who could defeat her in battle.
For a while many tried to marry Osen by attempting to overpower her but none were successful and it soon became clear that Osen would remain “Queen” until her death or until she said otherwise.
But recently Osen had become bored with the lack of challenges, easily driving away suitors, but in the wind she could sense that something interesting was about to take place …
