Name: Ancient Sword of Varenya

Abilities: The Sword of Varenya was made to be indestructible by sheer force and is protected by a thin, white aura. The aura also enables the sword to be able to absorb nearly any basic to medium elemental attack and in turn, deflect it back at her opponent. This ability can last for two simultaneous posts, then after that can be used once every three posts. Naturally, the sword was crafted from the lightest, yet strongest metals available so it's very easy to maneuver with. The Varenya Sword also answers to Ashlyn's call only, so if it's to be stolen or knocked away, it would return if Ashlyn willed it to.
History: The Sword of Varenya was crafted hundreds of years ago by the first King of Rikania. He was a master with all the elements and entrusted their magics into the soul of the blade, creating the white aura that makes the sword seem to glow. The Sword has seen many battles, drawn gallons of blood, yet has taken no lives. The weapon was worshiped for it held so much power, that it was only used in the toughest of battles and the deadliest of wars. A decade before Jackson's father ruled the nation, the sword was lost with it's previous leader. Legend said it had fallen from the hands of the Emperor, but never return with it's call. Many believed it was stolen in battle by an opposing nation, while others believed it to be buried among the deadly boulders at the bottom of the Ancient Mountain.

Though one day, as a young Ashlyn was sitting upon a dangerous ridge at the base of the mountain, a gold glint had caught her eye. Naturally curious, the girl began to climb down the sheer rock, wanting to find out what the glint was. About half way down, the stone beneath her feet crumbled and she began to fall. Frantic, Ashlyn clawed at the boulder, trying to save herself. In a moment, her hand fell onto something cold and smooth, definitely out of the ordinary from the coarse rocks around her. Her fall came to a stop and Ashlyn slowly opened her eyes. In her hand was the gold she'd seen down below. The gold was actually the hilt of an intricately designed blade. Though confused of it's power, Ashlyn took the sword home with her. Instantly it became her most prized possession, yet something inside told her not to share the sword with anyone else. So for years after, she kept the blade hidden. Silently she trained with it, using the practice her father would give her. It was only when she moved in with the royal family she found out what the sword truly was. The Ancient Sword of Varenya, lost years ago, but now found. It had answered Ashlyn's call for help when she was falling and now it had chosen her to be it's wielder.

Type of Weapon: Bow
Class: Offensive
Element: Lightning
Range: Long
Abilities: The bow itself is very lightweight, allowing Ashlyn to move quicker and easier when equipped. Clercia's arrows are very thin and made out of pure silver, allowing them to be great conductors to lightning.
History: Years after Ashlyn's parents died and she'd moved in with the Royal Family, Jackson's father, Parker the emperor, began to teach her how to use simple bows. He thought it would be a good idea, seeing as how Ashlyn took much interest in the archers practicing outside the castle. It didn't take the young girl long to get the hang of the art. After practicing with the sword, the bow became her favorite weapon to use and one of the only long range weapons she ever used. Clercia belonged to Jackson's mother, the empress. It was passed through the women on her side of the family for many centuries. Though old, the bow is in top condition and has never failed in battle. When Ashlyn stopped her training with Parker, she was given Clercia as a gift on her fifteenth birthday. Being a much more powerful bow than any normal one, the empress trained with Alaina daily to master the handling of Clercia.
